Biography
Nour Shafik Emam El-Gendy scientific research generally targets water, environment, petroleum and energy industries, implementation and achievement of sustainable development goals, circular economy, green economy, and blue economy, as well as reducing the problem of climate change and water shortage. Preparation and submission of technical consultations in the fields of: environmental pollution, desalination, recycling of agricultural waste, solid waste management, energy, and biofuels, besides pollution caused by petroleum and chemical industries. Follow-up and revise the file of pollution of the Gulf of Suez in the Ministry of Environment and the reports of the facilities that drain into the Gulf of Suez. Follow-up the file of environmental assessment of the industrial zone - Kom Abu Rady in Beni Suef Governorate. Follow-up the development and upgrading of the efficiency of central laboratories and laboratories of the branches of the Ministry of Environment. Participating in following-up the plan of the branches of the ministry and increasing the efficiency of its labs. Follow-up the file of water desalination plants with the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production and the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities. Follow-up the files related to the pollution of the Nile River and its branches with the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation. Preparing reports on the environmental impacts of off-shore gas fields and the most concerned important environmental protection techniques. Preparing reports on the environmental impacts of oil and gas fields and the most concerned important environmental protection techniques. Contributed in the preparation of reports on the environmental situation of Rasheed Branch and the problem of fish mortality and developed proposals to mitigate this phenomenon. Reviewing and evaluating the environmental impact assessment studies submitted to the Ministry. Follow-up cooperation between the Ministry and Italy in the field of biogas. Follow-up the project files for the construction of the treatment plants of polluted water and the drilling products associated with the production of oil and natural gas. Acting as the coordinator between the ministry and universities, research institutes and centers regarding aspects of cooperation. The focal point for coordination between the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation and other related ministries, concerning with the mitigation and treatment of lakes‘ pollution (sanitary / agricultural / industrial ...) and implementation of the required projects in that regard. The representative of the ministry as a technical member to attend the meetings to discuss the issue of the law of protection of lakes and the criminalization of infringement under the chairmanship of the Minister of People's Affairs.
